As Nando’s prepared to expand into the highly competitive Texas market, the challenge was twofold: to introduce the brand’s unique flavor profile to a new audience unfamiliar with peri-peri, and to stand out in a region known for its rich barbecue culture. Nando’s needed a content strategy that could excite Texas food lovers, build brand awareness, and drive traffic to new locations across the state.


We developed a Localized “Peri-Peri Meets Texas BBQ” Campaign designed to blend elements of Texas’ beloved barbecue culture with Nando’s signature peri-peri chicken. The campaign highlighted how Nando’s flame-grilled preparation method aligns with the smoky, grilled flavors Texans love, while emphasizing the distinctiveness of Nando’s peri-peri spices.

 

Nando’s successful entry into the Texas market demonstrates the power of targeted social advertising. Nando’s experienced a surge of foot traffic during the opening weeks of its Texas locations with lines forming outside, establishing a strong foothold in a hyper-competitive market.
